About Fjordslottet Hotel

A glorious story

With history in its walls - surrounded by fjords and mountains - Fjordslottet Hotell welcomes you to a glorious hotel experience. Fjordslottet Hotell is located on Osterøy - northern Europe's largest inland island - a gem for great experiences.

Osterøy seems almost unlikely, as it is located far inland with an adventurous diversity of experiences: nature, history, culture, activities and business. Referred to as the "Mecca of small industry" and a "Norway in miniature". It was here that the Bergen merchant Carl Joacim Hambo found the river that gave energy to the start-up of Fotlandsvåg Bomuldspinnerie in 1851, and which led to the construction of a stately private residence for the family.

Since 1975, the house has welcomed guests, first as a camp school and guest house, and since 1997 - after extensive restoration - as a hotel. The historic atmosphere invites you to a personal and homely hotel experience in our intimate and cozy lounges and rooms.
