Welcome to goat milking at Hole gard

- a real experience for young and old!

Fjordslottet Hotell is pleased to offer an exciting, educational and genuine farm experience for groups/guests in collaboration with Hole gard.

You will be given a guided tour of the farm and goat farmer Øystein will give a vivid account of life on the farm. You can participate in goat milking, and you can also make your own goat cheese, which you can take home if cheese is being made that day.

The farm is located in the village of Hosanger on the road to Kossdalen and Kossdalsvingane, and has milk production with around 70 dairy goats. The goats are milked morning and evening.

The farm has its own cheese dairy, where traditional brown goat's cheese is made. Osterøy has a long tradition of making brown goat's cheese. Brown cheese from Osterøy has had a seal of quality for a long time.

Price:

  • Adults kr. 250.-/ kr. 375,- with cheese making

  • Born kr. 190,-/ kr. 290.- with cheesemaking.
